About Photo-Calc
Photo-Calc is a free collection of photography calculators built to answer the practical questions photographers actually ask: how much will be in focus, how wide will this lens see, how long can I expose the stars, how big can I print, when is the golden hour. Each tool is fast, focused and free of sign-ups.
Private by design
Every calculation runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type - not your coordinates, not your camera settings - is ever sent to a server. That also means the tools keep working offline once a page has loaded, which is useful in the field where signal is patchy.
Built for real cameras
The calculators support all common sensor formats, from medium format down to 1-inch, and a growing library of specific camera models with their exact sensor sizes and resolutions. Results are shown in your language and local units, in six languages.
Who makes it
Photo-Calc is an independent project by a small team that also runs resize-photo.com, a free online image resizer. It exists because the existing photography calculators were often slow, cluttered or inaccurate, and photographers deserve tools that are quick, correct and pleasant to use. Feedback and corrections are always welcome.
